Locked In A Graveyard
Lyrics by Dmitry M. Epstein

"I'll take you where the glory lies,"
The old man slyly said.
"My friend, he played the black and white,
But he has long been dead."
The old man drove his big sedan
Through sleepy summer town,
And when he dropped me off, that man,
Nobody was around.

A bumpy ride through narrow streets...
And I was so afraid
We'd hit a building or a tree
And end up pretty frayed.
It was getting rather late,
When the old man set me free:
Behind a darkened iron gate,
I saw a cemetery.

Locked in a graveyard
At sunset,
In the cold grip of your fears:
Will anyone save ya
From this net?
You've been sleeping there for years.

The sun set down, the hours froze,
The gate would soon be closed.
I knew I could be locked inside
Until tomorrow night.
I strolled alone
And death walked close behind,
I found no stone.
I saw no sign.

Not Heaven's sigh nor Hell's reply
Could point me to your grave;
I roamed with reason but no rhyme
To you, the rhythm slave.
You played the tune, you played it all,
But did you play the role?
You broke through to decline and fall
For your tormented soul.

Locked in a graveyard
At sunset,
In the cold grip of my fears:
Will anyone save ya
From this net?
You've been sleeping there for years.
